Oscars 2011: The Only Costume

Oscar Hosts Anne Hathaway with James Franco (aka Marilyn)

The only costume created for the Oscar Telecast last night was built at Muto-Little Costumes.  James Franco's big pink dress (designer: Paula Elins), was a duplicate of Marilyn Monroe's evening gown that she wore for the classic,  "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend"   from  'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)' -- Big Pink Bow (in the back) and all.

Too bad Franco didn't strut his stuff and belt out the song, but the shortened awards Gala was taking no prisoners last night.  Good show.  Good hosting!

Finally!
